Stephanie Pearce is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in PA & NJ. She obtained her MSW from Rutgers University in 2002 & has worked in the social work field for 24 years in settings ranging from a family crisis unit to an outpatient setting. Ms. Pearce currently facilitates an outpatient private practice in the Pocono, PA area that customizes services for individuals & couples impacted by grief & loss, maternal mood disorders, reproductive trauma, developmental trauma & infertility.
Ms. Pearce is a certified EMDR & Brainspotting therapist, a certified perinatal mental health professional, & a certified grief informed professional. She is passionate about participating in ongoing learning & recently earned her certification in Thanatology: Death, Dying & Bereavement. Stephanie also completed Sharon Covington & Linda Applegarth's Fertility Counseling Reproductive Psychology Course during 2018 & The Intergrative Therapy of Greater Washington. LLC Reproductive Psychology Course during 2021.
She enjoys working with students in the academic environment. Ms. Pearce also works as an adjunct instructors through Grand Canyon University, as well as supporting students in their social work field work placements through Marywood University. Stephanie joined the faculty of EMDR Rewired 360 duirng June 2024, as a Consultant in Training, as well as a assisting with providing EMDRIA approved trainings.
She likes hiking with her family & energetic rescue dog, as well as being a devoted NY Jets, Islanders & Mets fan.
The Path Forward: Coping & Transforming after Spouse, Partner & Friend Loss
Participants will gain awareness of the different types of relationship losses that include spouse, partner and friendship losses and the emotional aspects of these losses. Partner loss will be explored through the frameworks of a relational context, the Dual Process Grief Model and the Continuing Bonds theory. Kathy Couch is the founder of Rewired360 which guides new and seasoned therapists to build and hone their EMDR skills. She also provides EMDR therapy in her business Willow Creek Counseling which offers EMDR and Couples Intensives. Couples Intensives are based off the Gottman method and she is Level 2 Trained by the Gottman Institute.
Mrs. Couch is a career academic and scholar and has a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in Social Policy and Evaluation. She is former faculty for Boise State University School of Social work teaching Social Policy, Macro and Community social work, Child Welfare, Case Management and her favorite, Social Work Research. She teaches and trains existing clinicians how to hone their EMDR skills with trainings in EMDR Refresher, EMDR with Grief and Loss Targets and Documenting EMDR in the 8 Phase protocol. She enjoys leading new and seasoned clinicians in the EMDR Career path and trains therapists to consult with others and build clinical skills in her program, EMDR University. She will be a basic trainer for EMDR later this year.
In her spare time Kathy enjoys parenting her 7 year old All Star Cheerleader and 4 year old Twin Boys. She resides in Twin Falls, Idaho with her husband and 2 dogs. She enjoys fantasy books by Mercedes Lackey and laying under swaying trees.
